Marie Curie support people living with any terminal illness, and their families. They offer expert care, guidance and support, free of charge, to help them get the most they can from life, in the time they have left.

£20 pays for Marie Curie to nurse someone with a terminal illness for one hour

£80 pays for a Marie Curie Nurse to spend the evening caring for a patient at home.

£160 pays for one of their nurses to look after someone right through the night.

The Liverpool hospice provides specialist medical and nursing care, with the expert help of multi-disciplined healthcare professionals.  This care is provided through In-patient, Out-patient and Day Care services, and a more recently developed community outreach service, giving more people affected by cancer access to Marie Curie services.  They focus on providing the best possible quality of life for people with cancer and all services are provided free of charge to patients and their families.

Given the choice, a lot of people would prefer to die at home, surrounded by the people and things they cherish. Marie Curie Cancer Care makes this possible. Their nurses give free hands-on care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes, and vital emotional support to their loved ones. They allow families to make the most of the precious time they have left together. But the sad fact is, every five minutes someone in the UK dies without the care they need at the end of their life. That is why Marie Curie Cancer Care urgently need to reach more people – and why they are counting on your support.
